NEW PRINTED PRICE GUIDES NOW AVAILABLE ! 2010/2011 COMPREHENSIVE VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE PRICE GUIDE BOOKS NOW AVAILABLE THROUGH THE VJEMC OFFICE ! Whitehorse Press Aids in Growth of Price Guide and Club
The VJEMC office just received a shipment of the new 2010/2011 Comprehensive Vintage Motorcycle Price Guide in printed, bound format that so many club members and vintage enthusiasts have asked for over the last several years since we went to our online format. Through the dedicated efforts of VJEMC board member Peter Dujanovich and follow-ups by board member John DeBeck, Whitehorse Press of New Hampshire was enthusiastic to begin this partnership with the club and promote a product that has never been produced in this format throughout bookstores, newsstands, and other outlets in the USA, Canada, and Europe. "This is a great way for us not only to show the world the true value of vintage motorcycles, but to promote the club on a global scale as well," said DeBeck. "In the past there have been some stop-and-start attempts by publishers or private individuals to create a price guide, but these attempts have lasted only one issue or for a year. Existing publications like NADA or Kelley Blue Books focus more on the newer models, and their scope of vintage motorcycles is far below the charts when comparing actual values and sale prices. As most club members know, we have put out a price guide now since the inception of the club, and are excited to be able to bring this back to an outstanding printed volume." Perhaps what is nicest about this book is that it is in a 4" x 6" format, so people can put it in their pocket and carry it to shows, swap meets, and auctions easily. With a thickness of less than 1/2", the book has over 222 pages of values for over 50 different marques, including new marques added for this issue. There is also a section explaining how to properly grade a motorcycle, as well as a feature about trends in the industry and projected outcomes. Motorcycles through 1995 (15 years old and older by club vintage standards) are represented. The cost of this book is just $15.95, and is available through the club office. We hope that by viewing this issue, you will see what a valuable tool this is to the vintage enthusiast! Also, your membership allows you to get a copy of the Comprehensive Vintage Motorcycle Price Guide each year as our March issue. This is the only guide of its type in the world and contains more marques, conditions, and prices than any price guide anywhere! More prices of more obscure marques are added each year. All past issues are archived for members to access at any time, or to download and print as desired.
The goals of the VJEMC are to promote the interest in and growth
of vintage motorcycling among all Japanese, British, and
European motorcycle enthusiasts by connecting buyers with
sellers, helping people find parts and information, and
connecting fellow members with services they may need as the
ride, repair, or restore their vintage motorcycles. From our local and regional rides and events run by our various field representatives to our national event, the International Vintage Motorcycle Show and Swap Meet held each august in Seymour, Wisconsin, we have events and members around the USA, Canada, and even Europe.
Join us to participate as a member in these and other events
around the country, or simply to receive our on-line club
magazine, the bi-monthly
VJEMC Scrambler, which is filled with tech tips,
restoration ideas, vintage dealer interviews, auction and sale
coverage, and much more. Our March
Scrambler issue is the
annual Comprehensive Vintage
Motorcycle Price Guide issue, which contains values
for all major and many minor marques, in six different grades.
Population reports are also included when available, so you know
just how rare your vintage ride actually is. There are many
additional member benefits, which can be found on the membership
benefits page of this website. |
